Isager Sock yarn is made of 40% easy-wash alpaca, 40% easy-wash merino wool, and 20% recycled nylon. The yarn is durable, produces a soft finish, and is machine-washable!

The 20% recycled nylon content makes the yarn strong. For the first time, Isager is using a synthetic fiber in a yarn, but it was impossible to find a yarn made entirely from natural fibers that offered softness and comfort while also being strong enough to provide the durability required for sock yarn. The recycled nylon is an industrial waste product that would normally be thrown away.
Isager Sock yarn comes from Peru.

Description

EASY WASH is the environmentally friendly alternative to the standard chlorine process used to make fibers machine-washable without shrinking. The Easy-Wash process is a treatment with environmentally friendly oxidants, sourced from Germany and certified according to REACH, Oeko-Tex, and ZDH (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) standards. This means that no hazardous chemicals are released during this treatment, which is not the case with most machine-washable yarns on the market today.
